Angela believes that Traditional Chinese Medicine is an inherently holistic healing practice that simultaneously addresses the mind, body, and spirit. Because of the intimate connection that the acupuncture points have with our modern concept of the nervous system, we are able to use the needles to powerfully change the flow of energy (the Chinese concept of qi) in the body. As the nervous system is responsible for our emotions, physiology, and bio-mechanics, this is no small coincidence.

The cumulative effects of acupuncture invite the body's qi to flow through the meridians (or pathways) in a balanced way, ensuring that enough energy is flowing through the channels and there are no blockages. As the old saying goes, "When there are blockages there is pain, when there are no blockages there is no pain." Acupuncture and the other therapies that are part of Traditional Chinese Medicine move the blockages and allow the qi to flow freely through the body.
